Privacy statement
After approving the consent in Mediq Connect at first usage, your personal health data will be processed by Mediq Danmark A/S cvr. nr. 86479915.
Mediq shares your personal health and education data with the organization that registered you to the health program. Mediq stores all personal health data (and values from the blood glucose meter or manually entered information). Education functionality is offered through Docebo, which stores your education data. Mediq does not use the transfer of data to countries outside the EU/EEA.
You can withdraw any form of your consent by emailing your request to privacy@mediq.com.

What personal data does Mediq process and why
Mediq processes the personal data in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations and only if necessary for your use and the proper functioning of Mediq Connect.
Mediq processes the following personal data:
- Full name
- Address
- Language
- Mobile phone number
- E-mail address
- Date of birth
- Social Security Number
- Gender
Next to this, Mediq processes the following data:
- your personal plan (i.e. frequency targets and target values)
- your measurements (e.g. blood glucose, subjective wellbeing, activity and weight)
- progress and results on education
- used measuring devices
Storage of measurements
Bodily measurements can be registered manually in the mobile app. The Mediq Connect mobile app also allows connecting a number of measuring devices through which data can be synced electronically. Your health data will be stored temporarily on the mobile phone and will be synced to the Mediq Cloud when connected to internet.
Online education
In the Mediq Connect mobile app you have access to online education which is provided by Docebo. When you are registered to the health program, we will create an account for you at Docebo. Depending on your health program you will have access to the learning environment for a certain period of time.
For purposes other than the aforementioned use of your data (such as for historical, statistical or scientific research, or to improve Mediq’s products and services) Mediq only processes anonymized data that cannot be traced back to you.
Retention periods
Mediq will not process and store your personal data for longer than necessary for the execution of the aforementioned purposes, but for a maximum of 7 years.
Security
Mediq has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or against any form of unlawful processing.
Measures such as:
- Additional to previously mentioned, only Mediq employees, for whom access is necessary and who have a duty of confidentiality, have access to your personal data.
- Mediq periodically checks and tests the security of the databases and the transport of your personal data.
- The security is set up and certified in accordance with the Dutch Standard for information security in healthcare NEN7510 and NEN7513
Your rights
You have the right to request Mediq to view, change or have your personal data removed. If you no longer consent to the processing of your personal data, this automatically means that you cannot use the Mediq Connect mobile app.
You can exercise the rights described above and all other rights you have under applicable laws and regulations and ask questions about this privacy statement by contacting privacy@mediq.com.
Mediq has also appointed a Data Protection Officer, you can contact us directly via privacy@mediq.com. If you have a complaint and cannot resolve it with Mediq, you may always submit your complaint to the Danish Data Protection Authority. Mediq is supervised by Datatilsynet in Denmark.
